Before apply

Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) be nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency and then be invited to apply.

Gather your documents

Prepare proof of identity documents for you and all other applicants. You must also gather evidence of your capital funding and business intentions.

Apply for the visa

You must be invited to apply. Your invitation letter contains instructions and information for your application.

Step 7

After you apply

You will receive an acknowledge letter.

Visa outcome

You can be in or outside Australia when the Department of Home Affairs of Australia (Immigration and Citizenship) decides on your visa application.

They will let you know their decision in writing.

If they grant your visa, they will tell you:

your visa grant number

the date your visa starts

your visa conditions, if applicable

If they refuse your visa, they will tell you:

why they refused the visa

whether you have a right to a review of the decision

They will not refund the application charge if they refuse your application.
