Mainland People-Immigration to Taiwan

Taiwan has not yet opened up direct investment by mainland people to immigrate to Taiwan.

There are four main ways for mainland people to move to Taiwan:

(1) The mainland people are spouses or immediate family members of Taiwanese, including minor children under 20 years of age or parents over 70 years of age, who can apply for residence or settlement as relatives.

  (2) The mainland people are the spouses of Hong Kong and Macao residents or foreigners who have legal residence status in Taiwan, or minor children under 20 years of age, who can apply for a stay.

  (3) The mainland people have obtained Hong Kong / Macau permanent resident status (have already held Hong Kong / Macau Permanent Identity Card and Hong Kong / Macao SAR Passport), and have obtained a Hong Kong / Macao Resident Permit for Travelling to the Mainland (Home Return Permit), and have cancelled their mainland residence registration, You can apply for investment immigration.

  (4) The people of mainland China have acquired foreign nationality through legal immigration channels, and have cancelled their mainland hukou. After living abroad for more than four years, they can apply for investment / work residence as foreigners.

1) Chinese nationals cannot apply for a visa to come to Taiwan. They can only apply for an Exit & Entry Permit for Taiwan. The first entry permit is about six months to one year.

2) It is possible to buy a house in Taiwan, but the process of buying a house is longer and there are more restrictions

E.g

    A. Resale is not allowed for three years, and the resale after three years will be taxed in accordance with Taiwan's tax system

    B. People of land nationality must not stay in Taiwan for more than four months (unlimited entry and exit), that is, they can live in Taiwan for four months a year (no business or rental)

C. The mortgage ratio must not exceed 50%, and at least half of the cash must be prepared.

3)You can apply to travel with your spouse, minor children, or unmarried children who are physically or mentally disabled and unable to take care of themselves.

4)Cannot change to a work visa because Taiwan does not allow Chinese nationals to work.

5)If the investor's background involves the Communist Party of China, the Chinese political arena, and the Chinese military, they cannot apply for investment in Taiwan.

6) There is no simple way to pass review for investment cases of Chinese nationals. They are strictly reviewed. Restaurants, bars or retail businesses can accept investment from Chinese nationals.

7) We can assist Chinese nationals who really want to invest in local Taiwanese companies and start businesses in Taiwan to apply for investment permits and Taiwan entry permits.

Our principle is to only accept Chinese nationals who really want to invest

8) The current investment review time for Chinese nationals is at least half a year
